Blind Peptide Identity Test
Not sure what's actually in the vial? Submit a blinded sample and we'll identify the exact peptide(s) present using mass spectrometry (LC-MS) — with no prior disclosure of what it's supposed to be. Ideal when you suspect mislabelling, counterfeits, or simply don't know the contents.
What Is a Blind Identity Test?
A blind test is used when the identity of a peptide is unknown or in doubt. You send us the sample without telling us what it's supposed to be, and our analysts identify it from scratch using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS). Because we have no expectation going in, the result is unbiased — we report what the sample actually is, not what it was claimed to be.
This is the right test when you've received an unlabelled vial, suspect a product is counterfeit or mislabelled, or simply want an independent answer to the question: “what is this, really?”
How Blind Testing Works
Order & label your vial
After checkout you'll receive a unique order number. Write only that order number on your vial and package — nothing else. This keeps your sample fully blinded.
Ship it blinded
Do not disclose the suspected identity. Our lab receives the sample as an unknown, with no expectation of what it should be.
We identify by LC-MS
Using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry, we determine the molecular weight and match it to the actual peptide present.
Get your report
Within 7 business days of receipt, you receive a verifiable PDF report stating the confirmed identity, supporting spectrum data, and a basic purity figure.
What's Included
Identity confirmation
The actual peptide(s) present, determined independently by mass spectrometry.
Molecular weight match
Measured mass compared against the expected mass of the identified compound.
Mass spectrum data
The supporting LC-MS spectrum included in your report for full transparency.
Basic purity report
A purity estimate for the identified peptide so you know what you actually have.
Verifiable certificate
Delivered as a PDF you can verify by code through our COA verification system.
Fully blinded process
No expected identity is disclosed to the lab, removing bias from the result.
How to Submit Your Sample
Keep it blinded. Label your vial and package with only your order number (provided in your confirmation email). Do not write the suspected peptide name anywhere on the vial, label, or package — that's what keeps the test unbiased.
Ship your sample to:
16 Falconer Drive, Unit 14
Mississauga, Ontario L5N 3M1
- You can also drop off your sample in person, 10am–3pm Monday to Friday (closed weekends and holidays).
- Pad your sample well so the vial isn't crushed in transit. Peptide Test Canada is not responsible for damaged packages.
- Results are ready within 7 business days of when we receive your sample.
Research Use Only
All testing is provided for research and analytical purposes only. Results describe the composition of the sample submitted and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or endorse the use of any compound in humans or animals. Samples are accepted and handled in accordance with applicable Canadian regulations; it is the sender's responsibility to ensure their sample is legal to possess and ship.
