How the Leafs Ticket Draw Works

Toronto Maple Leafs ticket giveaway · Peptide Test Canada

We will pick the winner using a public list and a public random number that nobody, including us, can predict or control. This page explains the planned method and how you will be able to check the result yourself. Results are pending.

  • Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority.
  • Sponsor staff and their families are not eligible.
  • Entries from refunded or charged-back orders do not count.

How we will pick the winner

  1. 1. We will number every entry before the draw

The final entry list will be numbered from 1 to N (N is the total number of entries), in the order orders were paid. Mail-in entries will be added at the end in the order they arrived. The public version of the list shows the entry number and order number. It contains no names or email addresses.

  2. 2. We will publish the list with its fingerprint

Alongside the list we will publish its SHA-256 hash. Think of it as a fingerprint: if even one character in the list changes, the fingerprint changes completely. That means the list can't be quietly edited after the draw.

  3. 3. A Bitcoin block will choose the number

The winner comes from the hash of the first Bitcoin block mined after 10:00 AM ET on Nov 3, 2026. Nobody, including Peptide Test Canada, can predict or control that hash. We convert the block hash to a number and apply this formula:

    winning entry = (block hash as a number mod N) + 1

"mod N" means the remainder after dividing by N. The remainder is always between 0 and N − 1, so adding 1 gives an entry number between 1 and N.

  4. 4. We will confirm the winner is eligible

We check that the winning entry meets the eligibility rules above. If the winner is not eligible or doesn't respond, we use the next Bitcoin block in exactly the same way, and we say so on this page.

Verify it yourself

You don't need to take our word for any of this. Here's how to check the result with free tools.

  1. 1. Download the entry list

Use the CSV link in the Draw results box above and save the file to your computer. Don't open and re-save it in a spreadsheet program first, because that can change the file and its fingerprint.

  2. 2. Check the list's fingerprint (SHA-256)

Open a terminal in the folder where you saved the file and run one of these commands (replace file.csv with the file's name):

    Windows (Command Prompt or PowerShell):

    certutil -hashfile file.csv SHA256

    Mac (Terminal):

    shasum -a 256 file.csv

The result should match the SHA-256 in the Draw results box. Capital and lowercase letters don't matter. You can also count the rows in the list to confirm N.

  3. 3. Look up the Bitcoin block

Search for the block height on a public block explorer such as mempool.space (https://mempool.space). Confirm that the block hash matches the one above and that it is the first block mined after 10:00 AM ET on Nov 3, 2026. Most explorers show times in your local time zone or in UTC; 10:00 AM ET on Nov 3, 2026 is 15:00 UTC.

  4. 4. Do the math

Treat the block hash as one large hexadecimal (base-16) number, divide it by N, take the remainder, and add 1. That is the winning entry number. Find that entry number in the CSV to see the matching order number.
